Some characters for a forest scene. Aptly named forest guardians

A project that I had from a few months ago. Finally finished it.

Floating castle based on Scandinavian stave churches.

Focused more on the cloud colors in this one. Sunset over the ocean.

I've been working on this project for a few weeks now, but got a little sidetracked. Its inspired by New Orleans voodoo. The skull idea came from Mexican sugar skulls.

Just finished this night scene. Tried to add some mesh gradients to the moon so that it would have more of a variation.

Clock project I have been working on. I started with creating a prop in Illustrator and then I took it into photoshop to add lighting and shadows to give it a metallic, realistic feel. I had a desire to make another retro poster, so I created a background in Illustrator and added effects in photoshop. I then put in the clock, gave it some effects, and then adjusted the colors to give it a more aged poster look. I plan on making several more posters.

So, once again it has been a long time since my last post. I have been very busy working on my portfolio, primarily illustrations. I have decided to share what I have been working on. Most of these pieces are drawn from folk stories and the landscapes found in Norway. Having a Norwegian mother, I spent most of my summers in Norway with my grandparents. The dramatic landscapes and folk stories have given me new inspiration to my work. I hope you all enjoy.
