Creature Sketches

Here are some of my sketchbook pieces. I've been into sketching by hand lately rather than using photoshop and Corel painter. Please enjoy. Medium (graphite, chartpak, Copic, prisma pen, staedler)

Misc. Projects

Some pieces that I had not put up yet. Carriage is for a project I had been working on awhile back. The polar bear illustration is an idea I had been playing with. I wanted to create folk story book, but based on my own characters. It would draw inspiration from world folk stories. The polar idea came from the Norwegian folktale about King Valemon. In brief, the story is about a prince who is transformed into the King of polar bears by a witch. To break the spell, he must find a princess who will love him.

Monster Characters

Monster characters! Ive been working on a collection of vector based characters. Once finished, all the characters will be implemented in my "Brain of the an Artist", project.

Art Nouveau

Playing with new styles in and genres. Im deeply influenced by the arts and craft period of the 20th century. The art nouveau period is also of great interest to me. The style and design are elegant and full of fantastic detail.

Folk Costumes

Been working on female portraits in fictitious folk costumes.

Misc Characters

Characters that I finished a while back, but had not uploaded them.

Steam Vehicles

Working on several projects at once, but started this one recently. Im focusing on vehicles designs rather than locations and characters. The idea for this project is more turn of the century-industrial. Most of the vehicles will be fantastical steam driven inventions. I plan an designing the cities and characters around this industrialized theme.
